The Thailand-based Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) international research unit « Prevention and treatment of HIV infection and virus-associated cancers in South East Asia » (PHPT) is looking for a biostatistician or a statistician with experience in epidemiology/clinical research.
The position is available through the French Government International Voluntary Service (VIA, see conditions below). The position is available in October 2015 and will be renewable after the first period of 12 months.
Mission: The candidate will be responsible for the implementation of statistical activities conducted in the unit. He/She will participate in the development, design and statistical analysis plans of new projects, perform statistical analyses in close relationship with principal investigators, provide statistical consulting to researchers and students, and participate in the preparation of reports, abstracts and manuscripts for communication. He/She will also assist the data management team and contribute to the ongoing training of the unit staff and partners in Thailand and South East Asia.
Working language: English.
Background: Master or PhD in biostatistics, training in epidemiology (the candidate can be a physician with training in biostatistics). Professional experience in clinical research or epidemiology would be an asset.
